First Week

Completed Tasks

This past week, I have been given tasks of updating and installing various software.

I have learned the use of Deep Freeze in the first two days of working as well.

Specifically, I have thawed the lobby and counter computers before running a scan done by the anti-malware software, Malwarebytes. During this time, I have been able to install and run the security software, McAfee, onto the lobby computers and completed all of the Microsoft updates on the two outer lobby computers. After doing such, I froze the computers with Deep Freeze.

As for the counter computers, I was only able to thaw, scan, and freeze using Deep Freeze and Malwarebytes due to the available timeframe.

Incomplete Tasks

With last week's tasks, I have yet to complete the following:

Lobby Computers:

Complete Windows update for all four computers

Complete Microsoft updates for the center computers

Counter Computers:

Install and run McAfee security software

Complete Windows updates

Complete Microsoft updates

Problems Encountered

Although I have attempted to complete the Windows updates, I have encountered an issue in which a restart was necessary for final updates.

Seeing so, I have restarted the computers a few times with no success in completing the Windows updates. Being unable to completely update Windows, I plan to complete this task in the coming week along with the Microsoft updates and McAfee security scan.
